My School Prom

Last Friday, 19th June, was my school prom. I am so glad that I went and I would really advise anyone who is thinking about going to go. I think that it's the whole atmosphere with having left school, seeing most people for the last time and saying bye with the whole concept of getting dressed up having a really good night.

My school prom was at Eastwood Hall and me and my best friend Holly were driven up by my Dad with my Mum with us after we’d had photos taken and were finally ready to leave. When we arrived up the drive, most of my year were waiting outside reception waiting to go in. This made me very nervous walking over as I didn’t want to fall over in front of everyone and embarrass myself!

The food was alright but nothing special and I felt as if I’d been eating it for ages. However, dessert was much better! We had profiteroles which were really nice but very filling! Not long after, I found Holly over at the sweet table which soon caught people’s attention and more people began to gather round.

Once we had finished with dinner, it was time to go and talk to everyone and have a laugh in the photo booth whilst dancing in the queue - even staff decided to join in! I had a lot of photos taken with people and had a laugh whilst taking them.

The night went really quick and it was over before I knew it. I would love to go back and do it all over again (I mean, who wouldn’t?!) It is such a special and memorable night and it is something that I’ll never forget!

Have you been to prom or are you thinking about going? What did you think about it? Would you want to go back and do it all over again?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Mixed Wish List

As I have now finished school, I've a lot more free time and have caught myself looking online and just browsing as you do. However, there are a few things I keep finding myself going back to look at.

The first item are a pair of Ray-Ban Erkia's. I have been looking at getting a pair for a while due to how classy and stylish they look. They're just so pretty and can be easily paired with any outfit either to make it look more casual or to give it something extra.

The second item is an Olivia Burton watch. If I had to think of a perfect watch, it would be this! It has a brown strap with pink and rose gold detailing. The scalloped face is so pretty and I think it makes the watch so classy with it being so simplistic.

When I heard about this, I was so excited! It is the Ellie Goulding with MAC collection. I have been a fan of Ellie for years and went to see her live last year. With my love and music and makeup being combined, you can imagine how excited I was. I can’t wait until I can pop in and pick something up.

Finally, this is something that I have been wanting for years! It is the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera. I use my Canon 1100D for everything as I can take loads of photos and see which angle and lighting I like the best and then go from there. However, with this camera it is the complete opposite. You have one chance to get it right so it really makes you think about your positioning (which helps you to take better photos). I love the idea of having to get the angle right, waiting for the photo to develop in front of you and then the excitement of turning it over and looking at the finished product in a matter of minutes!

Has there been anything that has caught your eye recently?

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour - On and On Bronze

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been reaching for this due to the fact claims to have a “24 hour” staying power. This is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour - On and On Bronze. As we are officially in summer and the weather is heating up, I wanted something that would last. This is really simple to use and I apply it with my ring finger over the lid and then blend it out with a brush to create a seamless look on the eye. If I feel it needs a little extra sparkle, I add MAC - All That Glitters over the top to give it the bronze/gold look which really emphasises my blue eyes and makes them POP! The pigment of the shadow is really good and can be easily built up for a more dramatic eye. I’m hoping to get a few more shades due to how affordable and amazing they are. Highly recommend!

Have you tried any from the collection and which one would you recommend?

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed,

Liz Earle - Cleanse and Polish Cleanser

I bought this about a couple of months ago but have only really used it for the last few weeks. I have noticed that my skin has cleared up and looks a lot healthier than it has done previously. I think that Cleanse and Polish has helped with this.

I used to just take my makeup off with a wipe and go to sleep (I know, its really bad but I was quite lazy with skincare and wanted as much sleep as possible!) I then began using a face wash from L’oreal Paris which obviously helped and I saw and improvement in my skin but I wasn't fully satisfied as I was still having frequent breakouts. After speaking to Holly about Liz Earle, as I knew she used some of the products, and thought I would give it a go.

I still use a makeup wipe to remove my makeup but will go and use this straight after and apply this all over my face and then remove it with a muslin cloth for a gentle exfoliation.

My skin feels really clean and I feel much better now that I am using this in my skincare routine. I would like to try the other scents to see if they are preferred but I will continue to go back and use this product.

Have you tried cleanse and polish or have a personal favourite cleanser that you will always find yourself going back to?
