MAC Ellie Goulding Lipstick: Only You

As I have mentioned before on here, I am quite a fan of Ellie Goulding to begin with. Combine this with the fact I love makeup and you have my ideal MAC collection! As soon as I found out that Ellie was combing with MAC to release her own products, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. The only problem was that I had to wait for about a year...

I noticed that the collection had been released but what I didn't know was that it had already been out for a week. I kept putting off going on to the MAC website so that I wouldn't be disheartened if all of her products were out of stock. Eventually I caved in and decided to see what was left and the lipsticks were both in stock. I went for 'Only You' as it something different to the lipsticks I already own and thought that it would be nice for spring/summer.

The packaging is amazing and is something that really seeks your attention with the gold detailing both on the box and on the lipstick casing. Another small detail which I love is the fact her logo has been imprinted on to the lipstick bullet. This lipstick is such a pretty coral and goes really well with a gold eye and coral blush which helps to achieve a really simple look. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the fact that it is a cremesheen so it doesn't last as long as you hope it would so would definitely have to be in your bag to top up throughout the day. I would love to try other products from her collection but they are all sold out.

Have you tried anything from Ellie Goulding's MAC Collection? Which has been your favourite collection with MAC?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Happy 1st Birthday vintag3r0se!

I can't quite believe I have been blogging for 1 whole year! Officially it's the 25th January but it all started on the Sunday. There has been a post up every single Sunday a 9am without fail. I am actually quite proud of myself that I have been able to keep this going and I have loved writing up the post and sharing it with you.

I was really nervous about starting this blog as I didn't really know what to do or what to include even though I had read a few people's blogs. One of my main concerns was what people may think about me having a blog. It was always in the back of my mind that people may think 'Oh look, she's trying to be like all of the rest...' or 'I don't see the point in her waisting time...' I don't know why I let it bother me so much for so long. In the end, I came to a decision that I was going to start this and ended up writing my first review on my first MAC product. I was debating with myself it I was going to upload it and obviously I did.

I really enjoy reflecting on certain things I have done that week or maybe in a few months time to see how I have changed. Whether this is down to an opinion on a certain product I was in to, what I was doing that month or down to me as a person and how I feel towards something.

I'm really glad that I started this as I have been able to continue doing something I really enjoy doing and will continue to do. If any of you are considering starting a blog, DO IT!

What is your favourite post I have done this past year?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

theBalm: Mary-Lou Manizer Review

I'd been drooling over this for quite some time but decided not to get it as I had MAC - Soft and Gentle and was pleased with this. More and more people were using it and I was tempted to order it every time I saw someone use it but kept resisting.

I was lucky enough to be treated by my best friend Holly with this (along with other amazing presents which I am very grateful for) for Christmas. I was so excited when I opened it and of course, I wanted to use straight away.

This is the first product I have used from theBalm and once I got round to using it, I wasn't disappointed! The packing really sells the product due to how unique it is as well as the name. It is more intense than soft and gentle but it is definitely a multi use product as I use it as an eyeshadow as well for a more casual look. You only need small amount as it is so pigmented. The fact that this is a golden highlight, it suits everyone and  it is a multi use product.

If you're looking for a new highlighter/eyeshadow/an excuse to buy this I would highly recommend it and it certainly doesn't disappoint.

Have you tried any of theBalm products and if you have, what do you recommend?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

1st Driving Lesson

For Christmas and my birthday, my parents bought me driving lessons. I have to admit, I was both excited and nervous about the concept of driving because I have never done it before. My first lesson was last Sunday at 11am. The nerves started to build it the closer it got to starting and it didn't help that my family kept saying my instructor has pulled up and that I was going to crash!

I went out and got in the car and my instructor told me that we were going to an area which was a little quieter and start from the very basics even though I had a rough idea about how to set everything up in the car but it was learning to do it on the correct order. He then took me on a little circuit to show me where I need to go and what was I needed to do. It was then my turn and I was able to pull off, drive the car, change gear etc. By the end of lesson, I was able to drove home and one of my biggest surprises to myself was that I drove 60mph down a bypass by myself without any assistance. This might not be a big thing for some people but for me who has never driven a car before, I was really pleased with myself for not freaking out.

I am having weekly lesson on a Sunday and I am actually excited for this week and a little nervous as I'm not sure what I'm doing by definitely not as bad as last week. If anyone is thinking about having lessons, I would highly recommend doing them even from my first lesson as I learnt so much from actually driving as well as watching and listening in the passenger seat.

Have you already passed, having lesson or thinking about having them?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

2015 Summary

This year has faced me with many different challenges and obstacles to overcome. This is either due to school challenges with my exams, the skiing trip and going into a new year to continue with education, to then going to new places and trying different challenges but the main thing that I have done this year is my blog. I have written a post for every Sunday without fail during my exams, going on holiday and I have been able to share many different things. This is something that I am proud of and it is something I can look back on this year to that given week and see my favourite product, where I had been that week, something that may have bothered me or something I had found and then learnt from. Without a doubt, this year has been full of exciting new things for me to discover and explore. I'm sure you have already heard this a thousand times but yes, there have been low moments throughout this year but there have been many great things that I have been lucky enough to do and able to have amazing memories and stories to share.

Anyway, enough of the rambling... I thought that I would finish this off by adding a few moments of this year that have been amazing and a great way to sign off this year.

All the best for 2016 everyone!
