Zoeva Rose Golden Brush Set

When you hear people say that the right brushes can transform your makeup and can change the finish of it, I can finally say that I totally agree!

I had been using the Real Techniques brushes for a few years and didn't bother trying any other brand because these did exactly what I wanted them to do. They are affordable and good quality so was really happy to continue using them.

I'd noticed that more and more people were starting to use Zoeva brushes so began looking in to them to see what all the hype was about. I found this set and instantly fell in love with them. They are the perfect size, colour and they just look really chic!

I had been looking at getting them for over a year but didn't feel the need to get them as I still had my Real Techniques set so didn't see the point. The more I looked in to them, the more I convinced myself that I needed them!

These were bought for me as my Christmas present from Carter (after a lot of hinting) and couldn't wait to use them. I couldn't get over how soft they are and the quality of the brushes.

These have obviously replaced by Real Techniques set although I still use the Multi-Task and Blush brush everyday.

My two favourite brushes would be the 102 - Silk Finish for foundation and the 127 - Luxe Sheer Cheek for blush.

I would seriously recommend getting your hands on this set of brushes in particular but any brush from this band I'm sure wouldn't disappoint.

Have your tried any brushes from Zoeva?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Ellie Goulding Delirium Tour 2016

For my birthday, I was bought a ticket to go and see Ellie Goulding on her 2016 Delirium tour. I knew I was getting these as I'd mentioned having them as part of my present. I went with my friend Grace and we had planned to go for something to eat beforehand and then walk up just before the doors opened.

We joined the queue and was only stood around for a couple of minutes before they opened the gates. It roughly took 10 minutes for us to get through and get to our seats. As you can see from the photos, we were very close to the stage and could even see backstage to a certain degree.

The first group came on to begin warming up the audience but the man who actually got them going was John Newman. His stage presence and dancing really managed to engage with us all whilst encouraging people to dance and have a laugh. He is definitely worth trying to see live!

It was 9pm when Ellie came on and there was a build up with her coming out from beneath the stage and on to a podium which lifted her up as she began to sing. There were multiple outfit changes with all linked to the songs and her quirky personality. Alongside all of this, were the dancers which were insane and they were all in sync with one another.

This is the second time I have been to see her and I would definitely go again as she really  does put on a show that seems to only improve each time.

Have you been to a concert/gig before?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow: Sweet Heat

A couple of months ago, Me and Carter went to go and pick my Dad up from Birmingham Airport. We decided that we were going to make a trip of it and go to the Birmingham Bullring whilst we waited for his flight to come in.

Once we got there, I had to go and have a wonder around Selfridges which obviously meant dragging Carter around the makeup counters whilst he listened to me talk what seemed to be a different language to him.

I ended up at the MAC counter and was immediately drawn to the eye shadow section. I did the traditional thing of picking out eye shadows I really liked and found that I already owned them apart from Sweet Heat in the extra dimension section. As I have blue eyes, I am already drawn to the gold shades so this is perfect for me.

The only way I can really describe this is it is very similar to MAC All That Glitters except it is a lot more intense with the metallic effect. I spray my brush with a fixing spray to really intensify the pigment and apply all over my lid and then follow with a blending blush to soften the edges and apply extra pigment with the same dry blending brush. This allows the eye shadow to be much more intense and enhance my eyes whilst making the shadow last longer.

I really recommend this eyeshadow for someone looking for a more intense shadow than All That Glitters without the mess of a pigment.

Have you tried any eye shadows from the extra dimension range?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Current Favourite Scents

As we are getting towards the transition between Winter and Spring, I love the idea of being able to dig out my summer bits and bobs from clothing to perfume. I love everything about summer so being able to start getting ready for it makes me so happy.

The perfumes I am really loving right now are the New Look Pure Blush Perfume and the Lancôme La Vie est Belle Perfume.

I was wondering around New Look picking up a few bits and came across this perfume when I got to the till. There are a few different scents in the range but I opted for the Pure Blush. I picked it up and immediately loved the scent as well as the price as for £7.99, you can't exactly go wrong. I have been using this every day and have had a fair share of compliments when wearing it. I have the mini bottle in my bag as a back up and the larger bottle is kept with my other perfumes. I would definitely recommend having a sniff if you come across them.

The La Vie est Belle perfume is something that I have always found myself drawn to every time I walk past a counter with it on display and I can always tell when someone is wearing it. When I was skiing in Italy last year, I was debating with myself whether or not to get it and ended up leaving without it. For the rest of the year I couldn't bring myself to buy another bottle of perfume as I already had (and still have) a few bottles on the go. Carter had clearly taken note with this one as I finally managed to get my hands on it at  Christmas. (Thank you!) By having a more luxurious bottle of perfume on, it makes me feel as if I have made a little more effort and I feel helps  to finish off my outfit. The bottle itself it just so elegant and pretty and the scent is just something else. This is another perfume I would highly recommend checking out!

What is your favourite Summer perfume/scent?
