What's In My Bag - Sixth Form

At the start of September I will be going into my final year of A-levels. I decided to opt for the sixth form route at it is much easier and quicker to get to as well as knowing peers and staff that would be going making me feel much more comfortable when starting.

I take 4 subjects which are Business, IT, Photography and Sports Leadership. Due to my subjects being mainly computer based, I don't have to carry around massive folders and notepads like others which is quite lucky. However, I do have to take a fair amount with me still such as:

A Notebook
If ever I need to write something down in a certain subject such as notes or something I need to remember for the following lesson, I will pop it in my notebook so I can't forget.

Diary/Planner
I am visual learner so I prefer to have colours and posters to help me remember things and I love being organised so that I can clearly see what I have planned. The planners that we have aren't the best so I prefer to have my own and chose a layout I prefer rather than struggling with what I'm given.

Pens
For exams, you have to write in black so I have always bought black pens as then you aren't trying to find a black pen when doing coursework. (Just makes everything much easier!) As I have already said, I am a visual learner so I always carry coloured pens with me just in case I need to create a poster or write something important down in a different colour to help me. There may be an occasional highlighter as well just in case as well as a Sharpie in case I need to label folders etc.

USB Stick
I have had a few cases this past year where my work has gone missing off the system or I have been forgetful and not saved my work. I have decided to get a USB to prevent it happening and also have a backup. I will be travelling between 2 different buildings so this will be helpful when transferring work over.

Other Bits and Bobs
I am that person that will carry everything for those 'just in case' moments. You will no doubt find plasters, hand sanitiser, medication, mirror, lip balm etc. in my bag as well but thats just the boring stuff.

(All of this can be found in Wilko so it is really affordable!)

What do you carry round in your school bag or just your bag in general?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

Skincare Routine

I have always struggled with my skin! When I was younger it was eczema on my arms, around my eyes and behind my knees. Now that I am older I still struggle with eczema but on my hands yet it has calmed down. I now have to deal with acne and I am on medication for it. I have sensitive skin so certain products I have to stay clear of otherwise I end up with a rash and a burning sensation where I have applied it (hence the use of sensitive products!) Anyway, enough of the boring stuff!

As you may have seen from my Boots Haul post, I loved this product from the first use. It is cream and you apply it to a wet face so I use it in the shower and remove it with one of my Liz Earle cleansing cloths to help exfoliate at the same time as taking it off. There is slight tingling sensation but I quite like it as it feels as if it is doing something.

Another one from the boots haul is the Boots own brand Simply Sensitive Day Moisturiser. The big selling point for me was because it had aloe vera in it. I have said before that I use after sun because it has aloe vera in that helps to calm redness in skin. I use this in the day under my makeup and at night once I have removed my makeup and cleansed to prevent my skin from being dry.

I have to admit, I should do a face mask more often than I do. I saw this on offer in Boots so thought I would try it. I chose the detox one as I thought it would be best suited to helping with my skin. I have used this a couple of times now and it helps to reduce the amount of oil on my face and reduces the amount of redness in spots. From the couple of times that I've tried it, I would recommend it.

Do you have a routine or certain products you use to help you skin?

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed

American Chocolate Review

If I choose any form of sweet treat, 99% of the time it will be chocolate related. This is normally along the lines of normal Diary Milk, Peanut M&Ms, Wispa Bites etc. I have seen a fair amount of videos online where people have tried different treats from different countries so thought that I would share my opinions on here.

I know it sounds gross but they remind me off the poop emoji (the one with the smiley face). They come in a bag individually rapped in foil with a little tag out of the top with 'KISSES" written on it. I hadn't tried anything from Hershey before but I know that it is very popular. It is the perfect size as you can fit each piece in your mouth without getting covered in chocolate. They're nice and I enjoy them but I'm not sure I would buy them again as I prefer other chocolate that you can get in the UK much cheaper than these.

I love the the peanut version so when I heard about the peanut butter ones, I was intrigued. I had one just to see if I was going to like them and then couldn't put the bag down! I let it melt rather than crunching it as I want it to last longer and it actually helps the peanut butter inside to melt and intensifies the flavour. I have been trying to prevent myself from eating the whole lot in one go so have had a few each night as a little treat. (I think I have found my new favourite chocolate!)

Have you tried any American Chocolate? What would you recommend trying?

Italy 2016 Travel Diary

As you have seen, I bought a fair amount of things for my holiday. Of course, it was only a matter of time that there was a travel diary post to follow. If you're like me, you like to be a little nosey as to what people have been up to on their holiday. I have gathered a few photos from my 10 day trip to Italy (same place for a second year) this year.
(Click here to see the Italy 2015 Travel Diary post.)

The first day trip was to Sorrento as I had heard so many good things about it and seeing as we were only a few hours drive away, we decided to go for it. I would really recommend eating at Foreigner's Club as the view and food are both incredible!

The second day trip was back to Rome again as we all wanted to go and see the fountains now that it was all complete and had the water in it.

The majority of the time was spent by or in the pool having a laugh and trying to get a tan!

Have you been to Italy and if so, where?

Anyway, I'll let you look through the photos!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
